2008 Benchmark Meritage

Our 2008 Meritage represents the pinnacle of our estate vineyard, crafted from the best blocks of each varietal. This full-bodied, Bordeaux-style blend has aromas of crushed blackberries, dark roast coffee, milk chocolate and hints of white flowers. Complex layers of dark jam, cassis and spice
are balanced by excellent acidity, firm tannins and a velvety texture. Cabernet Sauvignon forms the foundation of the blend, with notes of cassis and dark jam, framed by well-structured tannins. The deep reddish-purple hue of the Petit Verdot alludes to pronounced tannins, while Merlot adds a
jammy component. The Malbec increases the complexity of the floral aromas.
