
In 2010, our Bench Blend Cabernet Franc was entirely crafted from Cabernet Franc grapes. Ripe cherry flavors mix with earthy undertones and hints of currants and dry spice, creating a balanced wine. A subtle cedar oak influence, nice structure and soft tannins lead the way to a long, lingering finish.
The 2010 growing season and unique topography of the Silverado Bench created a smaller berrysize with a good concentration. To ensure maximum color and flavor extraction, the wine remained on skins for up to 15 days. While in barrel, the wine was individually managed and racked up to four different times. The final blend was assembled in the spring of 2012 before returning to oak barrels for seamless flavor integration.
