The 2002 harvest was all about patience. Parts of the Napa Valley saw some April frost and late rains in May, while summer brought a long, mild growing season with manageable heat spikes in late September and early October – bringing an end to harvest.
Winemaker notes
This wine leads with a bright spicy nose, aromas of plum, black cherry and raspberry with nuances of sage and tobacco. A Plush broad mouthfeel with a rich, weighty midpalate follows. The tannins are well integrated and the finish lingers with plenty of fruit present. This wine is 100% Napa Valley and a winery exclusive offering.
