2022 California Merlot
Aromas: Ripe blackberry and vanilla.
Tasting Notes: Dark plum, black cherry and blackberry layered with hints of chocolate. Rich, velvety smooth and full-bodied before a long, flavorful finish.
Viticulture Notes: Sourced primarily from the Central Coast. Vintage 2022 offered exceptional, high quality growing conditions. Mostly even and temperate, with warm stretches in summer that accelerated ripening for a fast and early harvest.
Winemaker Notes: Destemmed, lightly crushed, then cold soaked for up to three days; following fermentation, the wine was aged on French and American oak.
Food Pairings: Enjoy with fine aged cheddar, marinated portobello mushroom or blue cheeseburger, barbecued pulled pork or a dark chocolate dessert.
